About Us

Adheera is a textile brand based in Ahmedabad ,headed by Dipika Udhani , a self taught Shibori artist and a fashion entrepreneur . It began with an insouciant interest in learning tie and dye techniques of imprinting. A casual endeavour born out of curiosity, soon grew strong while exploring varied patterns by tying leftover scraps and dyeing them. Taking inspiration from age-old techniques of Shibori, the brand emphasises on wearable art , slow  fashion and unique ideations - From getting organic fabrics to employing hand-stitching to finish and piece together our apparel wherever possible, with a dedicated focus on sustainability. All handcrafted drapes that we produce are a result of us doing what we love.
 
PURPOSE
We traverse to create products that are timeless and promote no-season garments. We create minimal waste designs and use azo free dyes along with natural dyes. We also use materials and processes that incur minimal damage to the environment. At Adheera, we create garments where every piece is different from the other with exquisite details of tie-dye, surface ornamentation and embroidery. The aim is to deliver products that would tell a story in patterns and colours, yet be equally novel and unbound from tradition.
 
SOCIAL IMPACT- PEOPLE
Adheera aims at empowering local artisans from Gujarat as well as other cities. We focus on handcrafted techniques, not only with local artisans but collaborating with various NGOs for production.
 
PLANET- ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
With focus on minimal damage to the environment, the brand highlights the usage of natural dyes and organic fabrics. We also work on techniques that use left-over fabrics from  previous collections to create new ones. The production of our garments is customised and does not encourage mass production.
